Kunjeshwar Mahadev is one of the Oldest Shiva Temple in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. It's day of lord shiva we call it "Sivaratri of MahaShivRatri."

Kunjeshwar Mahadev temple is situated 20Km far away from New Tehri. Roads are not in good condition. It's little bit risky to drive on roads. In past, we used to visit the temple after one day of walk without resting and make our visit by staying in the temple at the night time - this process is called KhadiRatri. KhadiRatri means standing on one feet with Diya on one hand and worshiping Lord Shiva. It's very powerful way to worship the god. if you can do that it's really difficult task to do. People do it with power of Concentration and effort.  God will fulfill your wishes if you can worship the god with your mind.

Today is Basant Panchami ( also called as Vasant Panchami )

Spring ( Season ) begins with this Day in India. 

Spring is one of the four conventional temperate seasons, following winter and preceding summer. There are various technical definitions of spring, but local usage of the term varies according to local climate, cultures and customs. When it is spring in the Northern Hemisphere, it will be autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. At the spring equinox, days are approximately 12 hours long with day length increasing as the season progresses.

In Garhwal We celebrate Basant Panchami in Different way, our farmers Depends on their Agriculture. In villages we do worship of our equipments including Fields and related stuff. 

It all begins with "Plant which we called Paiya in Garhwal" we plant that in field. Doing worship is important for us because we believe in god a lot. 

In this video you will meet Mangsir Devi. She told me about her songs, she used to sing when she was young. That was entertaining for me. She was so happy about her songs. It was a beautiful Day for me.
